Hi Jack,

Our marketing team has been reviewing sales and projections for the coming year in regards to the FinalScratch system with all our retail partners. As part of this review, we have been visiting stores that appear to be having lower than expected sales so that we may evaluate if there is something that we could do to assist them in improving their sales numbers. Music99 was included in this group of stores. In the past, your stores have been performing well with all of Stanton’s products, except for the FinalScratch system. As part of our fact-finding trips, we have some concerns over how it is being marketed in your stores by your sales people. The reason for this concern is that your sales staff does not seem to understand our product and because of this, sales are being lost to our competition in your stores. This product has been a high-seller in other stores, and I think if we could turn this situation around in your stores, it would be a win-win situation for both our companies.

In the past, we offered to provide free product training to your sales staff. I would like to extend this offer once again, but now I must insist that this training be conducted if you would like to continue selling our product line. We take great pride in our products and know that if your staff were properly trained with our proven methods, we could improve sales for your stores. We would be disappointed if we needed to terminate our business relationship because of poor sales. Therefore, I ask you to seriously consider my offer of training for your sales associates once again. I will need an answer from you within the next 30 days; otherwise, we will need to begin proceedings to terminate our business relationship.
