It is day two of our journey. We’re a little tired because we stayed up late last night talking. The bus was dim and there weren’t any others sitting in the back with us, giving us a peaceful atmosphere in which to talk. We have decided to complete our journey together. Who are we? Where are we going? Well that’s the interesting part. I got on this bus in Atlanta, GA for the purposes of traveling across country to make my own form of pilgrimage, one to Marilyn Monroe’s grave.
I feel a certain kinship toward her. I’m a bit of a southern belle, and I’ve had my share of hardships, having to take over the family business when I was still young; I diversified into lumber and have made quite a profit for myself, but no matter how well-known I get in certain circles, I always feel as though no one really understands the real me, which is the primary reason for taking this vacation to go see Marilyn Monroe’s gravesite.

The charming redhead with the frizzy hair, she’s normally got her head stuck in a book. If you can get past her know-it-all attitude it’s easy to see that she’s quite a clever girl, one that you could really get along with. She too is on her way to Marilyn Monroe’s grave, as she feels as though she isn’t appreciated for the talents that she possesses. The man with the white streak in his hair sitting next to her and a penchant for shiny razors is on his way as well, feeling as though no one sees him for who he is.
He’s a little…complicated and he keeps eating the most atrocious meat pies, but he doesn’t seem so bad. Rounding out our little ragtag group are these two twins who keep complaining that no one ever plays with them; they are on their way because they feel as though no one ever heard Marilyn Monroe either. We’ve all decided to travel the rest of the way together. It should be quite an adventure!
