The concept of education allows for a chance to open doors within a person’s future and to provide stepping stones for the path to success. In essence, there is a chance to choose an array of career paths so that professional goals and dreams can come true. Although I am college graduate with a master’s degree in electrical engineering, I have a strong desire to embark in the field of business management in order to flourish throughout my career. In some instances, there are people who state that the world has a plethora of opportunities; however I believe that you cannot get anywhere unless you keep on striving for the best. With my personal endeavors and plans for the future, there is hope that the ability to receive a second college degree will facilitate wondrous capabilities in the future.
Since I am not a typical student, I have frequently discovered that my decisions are of considerable importance, especially when my profession is intertwined with personal goals. One of the most difficult decisions that I have made was a personal decision that would eventually concern my future, however the internal conflict with resonate well with who I am. It should be known that I am a deeply motivated person with hard-working tendencies. I realized that even though I am not a young individual anymore, I still have many capabilities to offer. At my current position, I am part of a customer support team, however in order to take my career to the next level, obtaining a degree in business management would be ideal. This is why I took the plunge and made my final decision to go back to school. Throughout the years as time has progressed, I have learned a plethora of facets that can be tied to different aspects of life. The business-managerial field is especially thrilling to me because there is a strong allowance to learn how different organizations can operate in particular manners (Karanja et al., 2013).

With my extensive communication skills on a written and oral level, obtaining the degree will grant me access to the next stepping stone for my future. As a whole, I am entirely intrigued with business management since there are strong tendencies for critical and analytical thinking along with decision making, problem solving and eventual logical thinking. During my time in school and at my workplace, I have taken each of those facets into consideration as I have implemented them in school settings and work settings. Moreover, it should be known that I have played a role in understanding how to interpret different levels of data based on specific interfaces. With proper time management and showing initiative, I have prospered as a customer support team leader, but there is still a strong desire to obtain a management position.
Ultimately, I have strong aspirations to become a manager in my company because I care deeply about others and have a desire to help each person succeed. This can be done through the provision of my direction and ultimate guidance in the future. Additionally, I am very eager to share my own expertise based on the knowledge that I have accumulated through the years and the different notions that I will be taught while obtaining my degree in business management. Aside from sharing my own knowledge, I am anticipating the ability to learn a great deal from others in order to manage my team in an effective and efficient manner. This will be done to produce and provide the best work product possible. It should also be known that I thoroughly enjoy working with others in a collaborative environment. As seen with the customer support position that I currently have, I guide people towards the best possible solutions so that they can ultimately feel a sense of joy as the progress in life.
By pursuing my degree, becoming a manger will help to mentor employees in my current position so that they can develop well on a professional manner. This will help others achieve their ultimate goals so that they feel a sense of success as well (Gitomer, 1997). By doing this, I would align each team member’s goals with the company’s goals so that proper strategic plans can be implemented throughout each department. However, before committing myself to this opportunity, I trust that the process of obtaining a degree in business management will allow me to be introduced to the many facets that are involved in order to lead an efficient team.
My inspiration for this next major step in life comes from the fact that managers have the ability to empower staff members in order to motivate them on a professional level. In my experience, I have had many managers who have dissuaded me and spoke down to me. However, I have also had many managers who have lifted my spirits even in negative situations. In essence, it is my goal to make sure that the employees of my company are dealt with in a caring and compassionate manner. While I hope that they can learn from me, I also hope that they feel a strong desire to go to work every day. The unfortunate truth about today’s society is that most people are so caught up with making a living and enduring horrendous workplaces that they forget about happiness. I have a strong desire to implement a positive workplace where people want to work hard without feeling as if they are being drained in their lives. Throughout my vast amount of experience, I witnessed a plethora of people who go to their workplace simply because they have to. They may loathe their boss or they may not find pleasure in their work, but they continue to face the wrath every single day. It is my eventual goal to motivate and empower others so that negative feelings can be decreased in a substantial way.
Overall, I believe that pursuing my degree in business management will allow me to become a manger who can properly analyze a situation, allow for logistical thinking, assign responsibilities in a fair manner and facilitate strong communication factors on a variety of levels. I will be the one to try to find a solution even if there may be a road block for others. Moreover, I will strive to motivate each person that is part of my company in order to eliminate possible pitfalls and negative relationships. I am determined to succeed and I am willing to take a risk in order to achieve my dreams.
