There are many reasons why I am interested in the job; one of them being my need to advance in my career as a whole. Before I explain my reason for leaving my current job, it is important to focus on my responsibilities in my previous job to get a comprehensive understanding of why I qualify for this particular position. In essence, my initial work experience was based on homecare where I worked for a few months before I got a job as a nail technician. In essence, I have worked as a nail technician for four years making me an expert in the various responsibilities that pertain to the specific job description. My responsibilities as a nail technician include making the nails of the customers depending on their preference, the latest styles and trends. Apart from this, I give advice to my customers on the best nail treatments and procedures. This assists them in taking proper care of their nails.

Over the years, the industry has advanced to meet the requirements and expectations of the changing market demographics. As such, nail technicians have been challenged to take on leadership roles in order to maintain a well managed and productive salon. My job also expects that I manage the nails supplies that are delivered to the shop and purchased from the various suppliers. Also, I make sure that everything concerning the customers, employees, and company records is in order so as to ensure a smooth flow when the store is in session. Lastly, I am responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the salon which includes monitoring the cleaning schedule of the salon. One of the qualities that assist me in performing my duties in accordance with the company protocol is my ability to work as a team. I am often challenged with many situations that stem from poor management or external problems. Despite this, I am well versed with handling such situations by cooperating with all my co-workers. For example, when the company is faced with conflict or lack of proper management, one of my responsibilities is to delegate the various duties and roles required for the company to get back on its feet. Secondly, during peak hours, the work place becomes very busy in that most of the duties are left to me making my role in the company vital to its success. In turn, I use my good customer services skills to ensure that both the clientele and the employees are satisfied with the services offered in given period. This improves the company’s chance of gaining repeat customers in the industry.
My Reason for Leaving
One of my reasons for leaving my current job is that I want to challenge myself to perform more fulfilling jobs in a different industry. The merchandising industry is one of the most competitive industries in the global market. Attaining this particular position will serve as a platform for me to improve my chances of becoming a key player in retail trade.
