Aristotle was born in 384 B.C in Classical Greece in a town known as Stagira. His father, Nicomachus, died before Aristotle was a teenager. There is no adequate historical information about Aristotle’s mother, Phaestis but it is rumoured that she also died when Aristotle was a child. He was a philosopher and scientist and he loved educating people about life, he also loved studying and writing. Aristotle was Plato’s student: Plato was also a great Greek philosopher who founded The Plato Academy. Aristotle was a student at Plato academy for a thirty-year period. In his late forties, Plato became the teacher of Alexander the Great and he also established his own learning centre. Aristotle has written many books which are still used to date. He is the author of Metaphysics, Nicomachean ethics, Politics, Rhetoric, Organon, On the Soul, History of Animals, Part of Animals, Protrepticus, problems, Movement of Animals, Historia Animalium, and many others.
One of the main teachings of Aristotle is about the stated purpose. Aristotle argued that a nation is similar to a community and therefore it must exist for a purpose and this purpose should be that every member of the state must be happy. Aristotle believed that a nation is created by two main components which are the main factors that unite people.

The first component is the urge to reproduce which leads to the creation of a family and the second component is self-preservation. He argued that a family is the basic foundation of the state (Herman, 2013). Many families then join to create a village which helps to protect the families from harm. The village then develops into a community which then develops into a state. Therefore, Aristotle stated that the state was formed from organizations whose main purpose was for the members to have a good life and therefore a nation’s government must ensure that every citizen is happy (Herman, 2013). Aristotle argued that the nation is a natural society because it is a man’s nature to form organizations for the purpose of ensuring that every member of the organization enjoys life. He then argued that a state is also formed because a man was created as a social creature. Therefore, a country ruled by a government does not exist by accident but it exists with a purpose, which is to aim for the highest good of every individual. Aristotle’s teachings are still used today because they have enlightened people on the importance of freedom and fighting for one’s right. Lastly, the teachings have also taught people how to coexist peacefully (Herman, 2013).
Today, governments use the National Identification (1D) system which helps to ensure the security of both an individual and his nation (Pearson, 2016). Many people have argued against a National ID system but I believe that this system is essential for various reasons. First and foremost, an ID system helps to ensure a country’s security because it makes it difficult for terrorists to enter a country as most of them do not possess national ID cards (Pearson, n. d). IDs with biometric information also improve a nation’s security because they enable law enforcers to carry out surveillance on every single individual hence making it easy to identify and prevent people from committing a crime.
The numbers in the National ID also enable the police to easily find information about a missing person or a criminal (Bennett, 2008). Apart from security, the ID also helps to create a greater good for all individuals (Bennett, 2008). For example, the ID number enables the Indian government to transfer cash to old, disabled and poor Indians. The Brazilian government also formulated a program which uses the ID number to send 500 Brazilian Real per month to every poor family. Therefore, every government must ensure that all individuals have ID cards and every citizen must support the government in reinforcing a national ID system.
