The college experience at Colorado University provides students with a tremendous amount of opportunity. While the Film Studies program exposes students to some of the brightest minds in academia, the university itself is also a place that fosters cooperation and involvement. As a student, I would contribute to the diversity and inclusiveness of the university community by doing everything in my power to participate in everything that the university has to offer.
I will add principally to the diversity of ideas fostered by the university. One of the strengths of the university setting is its ability to bring together students with various backgrounds and ideas. When I study the elements of film, I will be an active participant, learning from my teachers and fellow students while offering my own ideas and opinions. The strategic nature of my input will add something to the university community, leading to a richer learning environment for those around me.

While the educational side of things is the most important part of college, I will also use my time in Boulder to participate in as many school programs as possible. The university has a wide range of different clubs that are available to students in my position. I hope to participate in Greek life, as well, making the most of the social element of fraternities as well as the service element. I will work hard to ensure that I am a part of the solution in Boulder, hopefully encouraging my fellow students and fraternity brothers to do the same.
I will bring big ideas and ambitious goals to the community at Colorado University. With the perspectives that I gain in my classes, I hope to become a film producer. At the very least, I hope to play a major role in the production of some of the next big films to come out of Hollywood. My ambition should give me the opportunity to make the most of my time at the university, and my desire will rub off on other students. This is one of the primary ways that I will add to the diversity that the university seeks to cultivate.
Overall, I am a creative thinker that is excited about gaining more knowledge. I understand that the opportunity to study at a school like Colorado University is a privilege that should not be taken lightly. With that in mind, I will do everything in my power to ensure that if I am given a chance to be a part of the entering freshman class, I will bring enthusiasm and a willingness to learn to each and every class. By doing these things and working hard to make the most of my opportunities outside of the classroom, I will become an asset to the university. In the past, I have applied myself in the most difficult academic settings, and my work ethic and determination will continue to guide me as I work toward a career in the film industry.
