In the United States, democratic senators Chris Murphy and John Tester are not happy with the first amendment that gives freedom of speech to the people and the media. This is because most of these liberals want to suppress political speech that does not support their endeavors and discloses their corruption activities. They have proposed some amendments to the constitution seeking to revert the Supreme Court’s decision that gives citizens and media freedom to express their views.
If these amendments are effected, speech from American citizens, activists and reports from CNN, New York Times, the NLA, ACLU and the Catholic Church will have to undergo serious scrutiny before being released. These efforts are directed at serving selfish political and malicious interests from these politicians. Ultimately, this will assist them keep the truth under cover. To stop these selfish intentions from progressing, the American citizens should unite with other human rights bodies and activists and protest against these retrogressive objectives. If Americans object these ideas in unison, the censorship cannot stand.

The most popular search engine in China, Baidu, is at the center of controversy regarding people’s freedom of speech. The search engine is greatly controlled by the Chinese government. The proprietors of the company create algorithms and codes that prevent people from outside China, especially United States, from using their site to advance democracy in China. Being a big search engine of its capacity, it should leave all interested parties to share their views and ideas on the social media platform. The illegal suppression of political speech targets activists and other media companies from viewing videos and other information supporting democracy in China.
This is violation of freedom of speech and expression that is being exercised by Baidu. Strategic use of the law and constitution can assist in overturning this censorship. Political and democracy activists should use the law to get their rights back.
