Implementation of the second language in the curriculum will force an adult teacher who is struggling to learn the language to invent ways of expediting the learning process. Research shows that children learn second language faster compared to adults (Vos, 2008). Whereas the primary methods of learning is tutoring and taking classes, other ways of learning exist. For instance, the teacher can develop relationship with other staff members who speak that language fluently. The teacher can also involve the assistance of parents who speak the language as their first language. The parents are likely to have significant impact and motivation on the teacher.

The cognitive ability of children develops progressively. The ability of a child to retain the concept of certain language depends on the amount of time the child has learnt and spoken the language (Piper, 2012). Speaking any language fluently requires the child to actively speak the language. As the adage goes, practice makes perfect, the ability to master the language is dependent on the time invested on speaking that language. Arguably, if the child had not mastered the language, there is a higher probability of the child losing the ability to speak one of the language (Vos, 2008).

As a teacher of second language, it is important to make the classroom environment to be happy and jovial.
