In order to have a healthier understanding of the goings-on that go on within a working computer, one of the best ways that has always been used is by having a Bits or pattern approach to everything. The Bit patterns can also be referred to as strings of Bits especially being that they are compelled to be used as relevant patterns, rather than single units. While looking at the advantages that a main machine’s memory would have over disk storage, there are many elements that can be looked at, some of which include speed and even replaceability. The main machine’s memory is known to be faster. This can be witnessed when a machine wants to access something stored in the hard drive. In a disk, the storage has to be spin into position while in the internal memory; access can be granted almost automatically. The main memory is known to carry easily replaceable information lines in comparison to disk storage. The internal memory keeps track of the info that is pertinent to the process at hand while the disk can only hold permanent or semi permanent information. This limits the replacement capability of the disk.
While being looked at from a different light, disk storage has numerous advantages too, the first being portability. It can easily be used in numerous machines. The permanent nature of storage also enables it to have the power to be safer. It is almost impossible to corrupt the information already stored in disk storage (Brookshire, 2012). These are some of the features that have made it gain a lot of popularity among the people who seek for storage devices.

Judging from the advantages and drawbacks that come with the use of CDs and DVDs, when an internal memory is almost full, it would be definitely advantageous to use the disks. These devices have been known to be great when it comes to being used as devices for backup. They are portable and also once the information is stored in them, it would almost be impossible to corrupt the information. DVDs have been known to hold more information in comparison to CDs hence making them better device for backup. It goes without say that while using backup, it helps relieve the main memory of more data hence making it work more efficiently.

Cache memory is characterized by its ability to prioritize the context that need to be processed by the computer. This as a result speeds up the operations of the computer. It holds copies of the items that have been recently looked at, including pictures or even web page.
The main memory characterizes the kind of memory found internally in a computer. The term main is always used to distinguish it from the numerous external memories available. It is the only memory that allows the computer to manipulate the information available within it. This manipulation process includes all files and programs in the computer. In one way or another, they all have to be copied from the main memory (Brookshire, 2012). The term mass storage has always been used to refer to any device used to store large amount of data. Over the years, the technology has managed to change significantly. At some point, punched paper cards would be classified as mass storage. The biggest difference between it and the computer main memory is its ability to store information, even when the computer has been turned off. Today they come in the form of optical disk and even hard disks.

In order to achieve the storage of any value in memory, it goes without say that numerous specific patterns must be followed hence relevant results. In this case, we will be looking at the necessary patterns and sequences involved in storing x, y and z and (2x) + y. in the first case of computing x+y+z, each of this values must be retrieved from their locations in memory and channeled into the relevant register. The next step would involve getting the sum of the values and saving them in the same register. The final answer to the question is always saved in the memory. The process would differ if there was a different sign like subtraction being introduced.
In order to get a solution for (2x) +y, we can follow the same process as the first one. The only difference would be to multiply the value of x by two before adding it to y. a significant point for the second example is to prove that 2x can be achieved by multiplying x to x.

The term bps can be translated into both kbps and gbps. 1000 bps can be represented by 1kbps. On the other hand, for bigger amount, we can use mbps and even gpbs. In relation to our question, 20GB file can mean twenty million kilobits of twenty billion bits. At the speed of 14,400 bps, it would take 3314 hours, 1 minute and 4 seconds to complete the whole process.
