Creativity is the process by which an individual is able to create unique ideas through the application of their knowledge, skills, and imagination in the conceptualization of something new. The first step in the process to creating something truly innovative, it is one of the key aspects associated with the actualization of the products that work to change the shape of our society and interactions with the world around us. In recent years, we have seen products that are more and more innovative, among them are those that have been spawned as a result of the creative genius of Bill Gates.
While there are many who are willing to good naturedly complain about Microsoft’s products, Bill Gates has worked to create a company that offers products that have worked to change the very constructs of our lives, shifting our focus and direction in manners that would never before have been possible. His process is quite simple; Bill Gates thinks outside of the box, and he encourages others to do the same.

In keeping with these practices, Gates has worked to organize Microsoft in a manner that not only encourages creativity, but one that works to enhance creativity as well. Gates believes that the computer is a valuable tool for today’s society, and has believed this since he started work on Microsoft in the 1970s (Microsoft, 2014). This belief has worked to encourage him to not only push his own conceptualizations of what technology may become but sparked him to push his employees to do the same, encouraging them to look at what the current limitations of technology are and looking at how they may be best modified to impact the world around us.
He encourages his employees to look at what is not yet available and determine a way to make it possible, and in so doing has worked to build up a company whose products continue to be some of the most popular in the world.
