Create an argument for when computer education should begin. Use specific examples to support your argument.
Computer education should begin when children first start school. This can take place in Kindergarten. During this time, they are more open to new ideas and can apply technology as a part of their curriculum. Once they move to higher grade levels, is when they will be exposed to greater concepts that will enhance their understanding of key ideas. In the future, this prepares them for the challenges they will face by giving them a basic background in utilizing various programs and applications. (Golden, 2009)

For example, in many studies, researchers have found that the earlier someone is exposed to computer education, is when they are able to understand important concepts better. This is because these applications are presenting them in a different format and they are learning some of the most basic skills involving technology. In the future, this makes everyone more attuned to utilizing these tools on an advanced level from having greater amounts of exposure. (Golden, 2009)
Analyze the equity issues (special education, gender and digital divide) and determine which issue is the hardest to address. Explain your rationale and make at least one recommendation for addressing the issue.
Special education is designed to help those who are mentally challenged by providing them with another avenue for learning and understanding key ideas. Gender issues are focused on discussing challenges which are most important to select segments of society. While the digital divide, is dealing with problems related to those who do not have access to technology. (Golden, 2009)
The one which is the hardest to address is special education. This is because these individuals will only have a certain amount of ability to understand and apply key concepts in their life. While at the same time, there are varying degrees of retardation. This makes it more time consuming and challenging to bring them up to a certain level. (Golden, 2009)
One possible strategy for addressing these issues is to have special programs and schools that will work with them. This is where they can receive the training and support to help the person to learn how to be self sufficient. At the same time, there is a focus on utilizing technology to connect with them and understand key concepts. It can also be adjusted to provide a better comprehension of how the person’s mind is developing and the lasting impact it is having on them. (Golden, 2009)
